Aside from Jetton, what other parks are around Lake Norman and worth checking out?

I took a trip up past Lake Norman State Park yesterday. I went by water, so I didn't see an area to dock up (only the public swimming area that was roped off). It seems like it covers a very large plot of land.

I may take another trip up there (by car) to check out the hiking trails that are mentioned in the link above.

If you have dogs Ramsey Creek Park is nice. They have a large & small dog areas. Ppl are friendly and so are dogs
